The Wilson Kaplen Infusion Center at Englewood Hospital offers a wide range of treatments that are delivered intravenously (through an injection), including chemotherapy/biotherapy, blood product transfusions, and iron infusions. Staffed by highly experienced nurse practitioners, oncology-certified nurses, and pharmacists, the Infusion Center provides services for patients with conditions such as but not limited to:
- Autoimmune diseases, including vasculitis, lupus, Sjogren’s syndrome, and thyroiditis
- Blood disorders, including anemias, polycythemia, hemochromatosis, sickle cell anemia, and idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura
- Bone health, including osteoporosis
- Cancer, including all liquid and solid tumors
- Gastrointestinal disorders, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease
- Heart disease, including congestive heart disease, hypercholesterolemia, and presurgical anemia
- Infectious diseases, including cellulitis, wound infections and various infections requiring antibiotics
- Kidney disease, including chronic kidney disease
- Neurological disorders, including multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, Guillain Barre, and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP)
- Pulmonary conditions, such as asthma
- Rheumatologic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and scleroderma

- 40 private rooms flooded by natural light and elegant home-like furnishings, each equipped with a comfortable recliner and flat-screen television
- Separate visitor and waiting area for registration, scheduling, and insurance authorization
- Pantry area with snacks, refreshments, and a light lunch during lunchtime
- Patients also have access to music therapy, pet therapy, pastoral care, nutrition counseling, pain management and palliative care, integrative medicine and relaxation services including reiki, disease-specific navigators, and referral specialists.
