Englewood Hospital Named a Best Hospital for Maternity Care by U.S. News & World Report for Fourth Year in a Row

December 11, 2024 — Englewood Hospital has been named one of the best hospitals in the country for maternity care by U.S. News & World Report for the fourth consecutive year. U.S. News rated Englewood Hospital “High Performing,” its highest quality rating, in its 2025 Best Hospitals for Maternity list.

The U.S. News & World Report High Performing rating reflects exemplary performance on key quality measures. For its 2025 listing, U.S. News evaluated data from 817 hospitals nationwide, with only 414 achieving a High Performing designation. According to U.S. News, hospitals receiving this distinction demonstrated fewer early deliveries, fewer C-sections, lower rates of newborn complications, higher rates of breastfeeding, and more.

Englewood Hospital delivers nearly 3,000 babies each year at the Karen and Gary Singer Family Family Birth Place and is a trusted provider of safe, quality maternal and newborn care in the region. More than 30 obstetricians, located throughout Bergen and Hudson counties, deliver babies at Englewood Hospital and work collaboratively with the hospital’s specialized maternal-child health nursing team in the Merle and Fred Fish & Family Mother/Baby Unit at Englewood Health.

The hospital’s tertiary-level maternity services include maternal-fetal medicine specialists and neonatologists available onsite to provide advanced care for high-risk mothers and newborns.
