Englewood Health Cancer Center Achieves Three-Year Reaccreditation and National Recognition as an ACS Surgical Quality Partner
October 15, 2024 – The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center at Englewood Health has received reaccreditation from the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Commission on Cancer (CoC), as a comprehensive community cancer program, a national mark of quality and program comprehensiveness. In addition, Englewood Hospital earned distinction as an ACS Surgical Quality Partner, a new national recognition for maintaining the highest standards in surgical care.
The reaccreditation followed a rigorous on-site review of the cancer program. Accreditation signifies high-quality multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care that adheres to quality standards and excellence in caring for patients with cancer. Englewood Health has been ACS CoC accredited since 2014. The accreditation is renewed every three years.
“We are proud to achieve this internationally recognized accreditation for our cancer center,” says Cherif Boutros, MD, medical director of The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center at Englewood Health. “This renewal of our accreditation and first-time achievement as a member of the ACS Surgical Quality Partner program, assures our community that Englewood Health meets the highest standards in providing top-quality care for patients with all types of cancer.”
The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center is a comprehensive cancer program that optimizes the delivery of care through services on the hospital’s campus and extends to outpatient sites.
